Lubricants, Greases and Other Specialities), highlighting our commitment to industry standards and sustainability. We recognise the critical need for consistent and transparent product carbon footprint calculations in the grease and lubricants sector. By collaborating with the ATIEL & UEIL Joint Sustainability Committee, we are dedicated to driving towards the harmonisation of calculation methodologies.
Introducing the ATIEL & UEIL Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) Tool – 12th December 2024
The ATIEL & UEIL Joint Sustainability Committee has launched the PCF Calculation Tool, a easy to use Excel-based calculator designed to harmonize and streamline the calculation of PCF for lubricants. This tool adheres to the third-party certified Methodology for Product Carbon Footprint Calculations for Lubricants, Greases, and Other Specialties. It empowers lubricant manufacturers and stakeholders with a user-friendly interface for calculating PCFs.
Global Industry Response to 2023 WBCSD Guidance on Avoided Emissions – 25th November 2024
ATIEL and UEIL have recently co-signed a letter which was sent to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), in response to their 2023 Guidance on Avoided Emissions.
ATIEL releases Code of Practice Issue 24 further to the publication of the ACEA Oil Sequences 2023 for Light Duty Vehicles – 24th January 2024
ATIEL, the Technical Association of the European Lubricants Industry, has released Issue 24 of its Code of Practice, which provides guidelines for the development of engine oils that meet the latest European ACEA specifications. ACEA 2023 specifications update the Light-Duty Sequences.
